A team of lawyers from Stephens Scown will be saddling up this summer to take part in the Children’s Hospice South West ‘Ride for Precious Lives’ – a demanding 205 mile trip over three days from Cornwall up to Bristol.
The ‘Scown Wheelers’ hope to raise plenty of funds for the great cause through their six-strong team – which includes managing partner Robert Camp.
Children’s Hospice South West is Stephens Scown’s charity of the year, with the firm aiming to raise money for them through many more activities over the course of 2016. The charity provides hospice care for children with life-limiting health conditions across the South West.
The Ride for Precious Lives from 8-10 July will take in each of the charity’s three hospices: Little Harbour near St Austell, Little Bridge House near Barnstaple, and Charlton Farm near Bristol. The event attracts cyclists of all abilities and has raised a stunning £335,000 over the past five years.
Robert Camp, managing partner of Stephens Scown, said: “We’re really excited about taking part in this ride to raise vital funds for this really important charity. I’m delighted that Children’s Hospice South West is our charity of the year for 2016. Hopefully we can raise thousands of pounds for them and the children they look after. The ride sounds great fun – even if we’re all expecting to be just a little saddle sore afterwards!”
The ‘Scown Wheelers’ have set up a Just Giving page where anyone can pledge their support, however large or small: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/StephensScown.
