Stephens Scown’s Family team is the largest in the South West and the only Family Law team top-ranked in both Devon and Cornwall in independent legal guides Chambers and the Legal 500. As a result, we are able to deliver a fully rounded and holistic service to clients, with dedicated support being provided to our specialist Children and Financial Remedies legal advisors.
Dedicated to client service
Each legal support team member works with one or more of our family legal advisors. They therefore have a solid understanding of our clients’ individual cases and can support with any administrative enquiries from existing clients without needing to refer to the lead legal advisor.
The fact that our legal support team work closely with specific legal advisors, and therefore specific matters for clients, ensures they get to know the clients. Our support staff are key to managing the administrative tasks, including accounts management, so legal advisors can focus on client needs and delivering outstanding client service.
Team Recognition
Judges were impressed by the colleague development offered to support the team, by the targeted video campaign produced to share key tips and considerations across a range of Family Law topics, from international adoption and surrogacy to how inheritance is dealt with in divorce, and an approach that is much more holistic. More than just offering legal advice – clients have access to counsellors, with an understanding that they come to us at some of the most difficult and emotional times in their lives.
Being recognised for the outstanding work being carried out by our legal support roles within our Family team is a tremendous honour and testament to the work of everyone in the team.
