We’re delighted that Lisa Ballam, Head of Marketing at Torchbox, is joining the next Knowledge Share to share her experience and insight during our opening Q&A. Torchbox presented at the eoa conference in November 2024 on the latest chapter in their EO journey, which included how they worked through challenging times, and their approach to rebuilding as they look forward.
When employees transition to being employee owners, a change in their mindset is needed, and there needs to be a conscious effort by the business to communicate and explain this. But when employee ownership is underway, and employees get used to rewards through a profit share or enhanced benefits, a sense of comfort and complacency can begin to creep in for employees.
An expectation or entitlement that the improvements or enhancements are a given, and don’t require sustained or enhanced effort to maintain, can lead to new challenges.
Following Lisa’s Q&A we will then divide into breakout rooms.
Join us for our informal knowledge share if you are an employee trustee, on an employee council, an employee owner, or from an employee-owned business with a vested interest, question to ask, or best practice to share.
