Concept for - Heart and Mind Synchronicity Therapy – what is it?

In our series of wellbeing articles, we aim to introduce different ways to cope with the emotional impact of major life changes, such as divorce. Today, we introduce Martin Webster, a former soldier and founder of The New Leaf Programme who has created Heart and Mind Synchronicity Therapy (HMS Therapy) to help individuals work through deep-rooted stress and trauma.

Explaining HMS Therapy

So firstly, what is HMS Therapy? According to Martin, HMS Therapy is a fast effective treatment for all stress related conditions. It is a combination of NLP and Hypnotherapy and has many benefits.

This type of Therapy has been known to help people cope with mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression and PTSD. It is important to note that all of these conditions can present in many different ways and it is important that if you are struggling with these overwhelming feelings, that you speak to someone, whether that be a GP, a licensed therapist, or your support network. HMS Therapy is one option that may complement the support you receive from healthcare professionals, offering a way to release deep-seated emotions that can help you move forward.

Remember you are not alone and there are many ways to seek help. You can find NHS guidance here.

HMS Therapy is just one avenue you may like to explore. This therapy in particular may be beneficial to our InSync readers as it has also been known to help guild people through toxic relationships and teach you how to love yourself and change your life forever.

Changing your mindset is not easy, but for HMS Therapy to be effective it is recommended that you must feel comfortable with having the desire and motivation to change.

What does a HMS Therapy session involve?

As mentioned, there are many different reasons as to why you may consider HMS Therapy. Going through a divorce for example for many can be a very traumatic experience leading to many unknown and new feelings of emotion. Much of the trauma you may currently be going through could stem from a place you have never thought of before, so during the HMS Therapy session, the therapist will help you let go of unconsciousness childhood trauma or negative unresolved programmes that no longer serve you.

With the clients permission the therapist will use Hypnotherapy & Neuro Linguistic Programming to un-program past negative emotions that are installed during childhood. This is called the ‘drop down through’ techniques.

How does HMS Therapy work?

HMS Therapy works on the premise that the conscious mind is the Brain (EGO), and the unconscious lies within the heart. When they are in conflict with each other this causes inner civil war, which can cause you to have these overwhelming feelings of emotion. You may even feel like nothing can be achieved.

The aim of HMS therapy is to connect the head and the heart so they are working together as an integrated unit which can help people to achieve their best results.

Imagine the head is the captain of the ship and the crew is the heart. If the captain does not listen to the crew, then disarray will ensue. By enabling the crew and the captain to work together, harmony and peace can be restored helping you with any negative feelings you may face when going through major life changes.

What makes HMS Therapy different?

HMS therapy is the only therapy that works with the emotions in the heart and recognises that emotions are stored as colours which are hard wired to your nervous system. Change the colour and that will change the emotional response to the problem. This way of looking at your feelings is great for extreme trauma, it allows for people to name the colour rather than explain in detail the traumas they have faced, resulting them to internally cleanse their heart to create a positive future.
