Catherine joined Stephens Scown in 2013 and works as a paralegal in the Real Estate team as part of the Social Housing specialist subsector.
With a degree in Law and Marketing and previous experience working in the Corporate team at a London firm, her expertise comes in the areas of:
- Conveyancing – social housing: open market and shared ownership plot sales, right to buy sales, staircasing, buy backs, lease extensions, and void disposals for social housing providers.
- Deeds of easement and wayleaves for utilities, section 38 and 104 agreements and substation transfers for developers and social housing providers.
- Assisting with residential and commercial transactions, including sale and purchases, remortgages, leases, and licences for individual owners and developers.
Recent examples of Catherine’s work includes:
- Assisting on a complex sale of the head office of a social housing provider.
- Assisting with charging a large portfolio of properties for a social housing provider.
- Assisting with the purchase of a commercial premise and business in collaboration with the Corporate team.
Outside of work, Catherine enjoys yoga and coastal walks across the South West.
