Emily is a solicitor in the Intellectual Property, Data Protection and Technology team at Stephens Scown.
She graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in Law in 2020. She completed the LPC with MSc Law Business and Management at the University of Law before joining Stephens Scown in 2021 to start her training contract. Emily completed training seats in Property Litigation, Family Finance, and Intellectual Property, Data Protection and Technology.
Her work includes:
- Intellectual property portfolio advice with a focus on copyright
- Reviewing and advising on assignment and licence agreements
- Commercial terms and conditions
- Delivering IP Clinics and IP Audit reports
- Franchise agreements
Emily has experience working alongside Innovate UK Edge in delivering IP Clinics to a range of SMEs, startups and entrepreneurs. She has previously delivered an introduction to IP rights presentation for university design students and continues to build her connections in the innovation space as well as delivering presentations and training.
Emily is also a Trustee for Stephens Scown’s Employee Ownership Trust.

Outside of work Emily enjoys ballroom and Latin dancing, art, and spending time with her family.
