Georgina joined Stephens Scown in January 2025, working as a Senior Associate in the Private Client team.
Since qualifying in 2016, she has extensive experience in the areas of:
- Wills
- Lasting powers of attorney
- Personal tax – Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT)
- Estate administration
- Trust administration
Some examples of Georgina’s recent work includes:
- Preparing discretionary trusts for clients who were about to receive a private equity investment in their family run business.
- Preparing wills for farming clients who had recently sold land to developers.
- Assisting with the estate administration of a client who had made various lifetime gifts and navigating the payment of the tax bill with the beneficiaries using the historical family trusts.
A member of the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) West Branch committee, she won the Cook’s and Hatchard’s Prize in 2016, which recognises outstanding performing lawyers who have completed their training in the previous 12 months.
Outside of work, Georgina enjoys running, skiing, and walks with her young son and chocolate Labrador.
