Helen joined Stephens Scown in 2017, having qualified in 2004. She is a partner in our Corporate team and she also heads up the firm’s specialist Healthcare sector. As a member of the Corporate team, Helen advises on mergers and acquisitions, group restructurings, joint ventures, governance advice and general commercial matters. She has expertise in acting for family businesses and in advising on partnership matters, particularly in the rural sector.

With over 15 years’ experience in the Healthcare sector, Helen has a deep specialism in this area. She acts for a wide range of different clients including care home groups, domiciliary care organisations, GP practices, primary care networks, dental groups, veterinary practices, pharmacies, social enterprises and other general providers.

Helen is also a trustee of Rowcroft Hospice and she regularly presents and provides training in a number of different forums.

Her experience includes:

• Advising on incorporations and drafting network agreements for primary care networks
• Acting for a large independent care home group, and also a provider of specialist schools, in various strategic acquisitions
• Being part of a vendor panel for an acquisitive group in the veterinary sector
• Acting on the sale of Clientbase Fulfilment; a specialist procurement business
• Providing structural and governance advice to a private provider of healthcare services
• Advising on GP practice mergers and other health sector collaborations.

Helen’s young family keep her busy but when she finds spare time she enjoys walking the South West coast path and reading.
