Karla joined Stephens Scown in November 2023, working as a paralegal in the Commercial Dispute Resolution team.

Having completed her studies in 2019, Karla has experience in property and corporate, mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law work through previous roles.

Some of Karla’s current work includes:

• Writing letters before action.
• Working on Particulars of Claim.
• Dealing with internal and external debt recovery work.
• Bankruptcy and winding up petitions.

In dealing with a large variety of matters, Karla has also done work in Space Law, writing articles on the topic and how it has developed.

Outside of work, Karla enjoys cycling, painting, writing, spending time at the beach, and generally trying to live a positive and balanced life – practicing yoga daily, she is also a certified yoga teacher.
