Katie is a trainee solicitor in the Inheritance and Trusts Disputes team, having changed departments in September 2024.

Katie joined Stephens Scown in September 2023 and completed the first seat of her training contract in the Private Client team, where her work involved drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney, assisting with probate applications and estate administration. Katie completed her second seat in the Insolvency & Restructuring team where her work included assisting with winding up petitions, loan agreements and re-use of prohibited company names.

Prior to joining the firm, Katie had gained a year of experience as a Private Client paralegal. Katie completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Liverpool before completing her LPC and Masters with the University of Law Manchester.

Outside of work, Katie enjoys bouldering, travel, and live music.
