Peter is Head of the Energy team at Stephens Scown.

Having qualified in 2005, Peter advises developers, funders and landowners on the property aspects of renewable energy developments from solar P.V. to energy from waste and A.D. to E.V. and battery projects as well as grid sharing, project financing, acquisitions and disposals.

Peter advises on sales and purchases, options and leases, conditional contracts and agreements for lease, power purchase agreements, easements and wayleaves.

His recent work includes:

• Advising multiple landowners on different battery projects ranging from 50MW/100MWh up to 250MW/1,500MWh.
• Advising landowners granting options and leases for the deployment of EV charging sites on their land ranging from single charger facilities to 80 charger drive-in sites.
• Advising sustainable energy investment specialists on the leases and PPA’s required for various roof mount solar projects.
• Advising a heat pump manufacturer in respect of the deployment of borehole heat networks for new and existing housing developments including property due diligence and ground array leases and service agreements for the provision and supply of heat.
• Acting for developers and landowners in respect of options and leases for numerous 50MW+ ground mount solar sites.
• Advising a number of landowners on the development of AD projects on their land with associated offtake agreements.
• Acting for a landlord in the restructuring, consolidation and refinancing of their 16 acre, 20 commercial unit estate portfolio.
