Rebecca is a paralegal in the Immigration team, joining Stephens Scown in June 2024.
She has a bachelor degree in Law from Holland University Rotterdam in The Netherlands and LLM in Criminal Justice and Human Rights from the University of Aberdeen where she also completed a PhD in Law in 2021.
Rebecca works to draft applications and letters alongside the rest of the team.
Rebecca has worked at Victim Support and at Devon and Cornwall Refugee Support as a caseworker, at the latter providing free advice to service users about their immigration cases.
She is co-founder and director of Reclaim the Sea CIC, a Plymouth-based non-profit. Working with people who have adverse experiences of the sea and water, such as asylum seekers and refugees, the organisation provides a safe space where people can learn to swim, surf, and stand-up paddleboard.
Outside of work, Rebecca can be found surfing and swimming, and enjoying long distance walks.
