We are celebrating after picking up two trophies at the prestigious Cornwall Law Society Awards.

At Truro Cathedral, the glittering event saw Stephens Scown employees up on stage to collect awards in recognition of their efforts across the last 12 months. Sarah Atkinson, Partner in the Family team won Family Lawyer of the Year, with Senior Associate in the Commercial Real Estate team, Tamsin Mann, winning in the category of Commercial/Commercial Property Lawyer of the Year.

Speaking about her success, Sarah said, “It is a privilege to be recognised by the Cornwall Law Society in this way and I am grateful to my colleagues for nominating me. It wouldn’t be possible without the support of the brilliant team at Stephens Scown who make sure that we have a positive impact during what can often be difficult periods in our clients’ lives.

“It was a great evening catching up with the legal and professional community and to have been recognised along with my fellow nominees.”

Talking about her win, Tamsin added, “We had a fantastic evening at Truro Cathedral, and for me personally, winning the Commercial Property Lawyer of the Year award was the absolute icing on the cake. I am extremely grateful for the support and encouragement received from colleagues and clients.”

Managing partner Richard Baker said, “It’s brilliant to see Sarah and Tamsin’s success in the Cornwall Law Society Awards. Having been nominated across five categories and picking up two awards, it’s clear that the work being done across the firm is being recognised in Cornwall. The effect of our work on the clients whom we serve is tremendous, and these nominations and awards serve to further highlight the value we provide to our clients and the quality of service given by all our teams.”

The awards come hot on the heels of the firm’s win in the South West Insider Media Dealmaker Awards for Small Deal of the Year and being Highly Commended for Law Firm of the Year in the Modern Law Private Client Awards, marking Stephens Scown out as a regional heavyweight which continues to grow and thrive.
