We are pleased to announce that David Beaumont has joined Stephens Scown as Strategic Growth Consultant.
Extensive Commercial Experience
With over 30 years’ experience in corporate banking, leading large regional teams to meet the needs of SME and Mid Corporate clients at Lloyds Bank, David is tasked with helping Stephens Scown to boost its growth aspirations in Somerset and beyond having recently opened an office in Taunton. He will also support the delivery of wider strategic goals.
In addition, David will help to maintain Stephens Scown’s strong Cornwall client base, and further strengthen its standing in the Devon marketplace.
David has strong existing knowledge and connections with Stephens Scown from his time with Lloyds Bank, saying, “I have always valued the close working relationship over the years and interactions with several key personnel, such as Managing Partner Richard Baker, and so when he asked me to help with driving Stephens Scown’s strategic goals, it was a simple decision.”
Driving Future Success
He went on to add, “Having taken early retirement from Lloyds Bank, I was keen to find new opportunities to share the extensive knowledge I have gained while working with South West businesses to support their growth aspirations, and build a portfolio of activity through non-executive director roles and business support/mentoring, including consultancy projects.
“Commercially, this is a very exciting time for Stephens Scown, with the opportunities to build on the heritage it has in new territories. However it’s about more than that, it’s about making a difference and working with people you admire and who have a purpose to doing business differently. Combined with its employee-owned and B Corp™ status, this makes Stephens Scown a regional heavyweight to be reckoned with in the legal sector and I look forward to all we can achieve together.”
Alongside David’s new role at Stephens Scown, he also takes up his role once more as a Non-Executive Director at South West Investment Group Ltd (SWIG), the largest provider on complementary loan finance to SMEs in the South West.
